Best NBA player to never make an all-star team

Just wondering on peoples thoughts on who the best player is that has never made an all-star team.

Would have to put a few players in there who are currently playing

such as Lamar Odom and Jason Terry?

Who else?

Drazen Petrovic by a street. Other notables include KC Jones (HOF), Eddie Johnson, Derek Harper, Byron Scott, Rn Harper, Marcus Camby, Andre Miller, Mike Bibby, Lamar Odom, Cedric Maxwell, Toni Kukoc .....

But the biggest omission is Petrovic. Instead they named Anderson and Coleman.

If you have ever watched the ESPN story about Drazen you would be saddened by he lack of opportunities in the NBA (particularly in the early days). The films of him playing in the Olympics etc show what an amazing talent he was. His death was tragic from the point of view of basketball fans. Had he not passed away and given the right team he would have dominated in the NBA and certainly have played as an All-Star and probably have made the Hall of Fame.

I totally agree. There was no chance he'd push Drexler out of his spot and sadly took ages to be traded.

Definitely an awesome player with lot's of talent and sadly taken too soon in the end.

The other sad part was the broken friendship with Vlade Divac due to the wars etc.

Drazen Petrovic hands down; from back in the day when the NBA rated Euro players as a bit of a sideshow

Did any other player call Jordan out on court and then make him look silly? Drazen was all star worthy in his time at Nets. Don't understand how he could have been looked over at that point

Kenny "The Jet" Smith could also be included- 2× NBA Champion (1994-1995) with Houston Rockets where he was starting point guard - NBA All-Rookie First Team (1988) - Consensus NCAA All-American First Team (1987)

Technically speaking Kenny Anderson and Derrick Coleman were selected for the 1994 all-star team, Drazen died before the season. Tough ask for Drazen to make it in the east ahead of Jordan and Joe Dumars in his prime and Reggie Miller all at SG and playing for the East.

As of right now Id say Josh Smith of the Hawks has been shafted to not be an all-star....still has plenty of time though.

Rony Seikaly, Dino Radja, Rex Chapman (with phoenix), Jerome Kersey (when he was young)..

Steve Smith played in the all-star game in 1998 here's the proof.
