Rookie of the Year and MVP

Saw an interesting comment/thread about Patty Mills re rookie of the year.

I was wondering what people's thoughts are on which player may have been closest to being named Rookie of the Year AND MVP.

Brad Newley..
Phil Smyth..
Nathan Jawai..

I can't really remember what Gaze did in his first year....

Wes Unseld, and Wilt Chamberlain are the only players to ever win the MVP and ROY in the same season in the NBA. It also happened twice in the short history of the ABA, Artis Gilmore and Spencer Haywood... 2 very handy players
