Rumour- K Lisch to play as an aussie!!

A friend saw a massive rock on the finger of a west coast wave & when they asked who gave it to her was told kevin lisch! Anyone know if this is true & therefore when he can play unrestricted? Imagine 2 naturalised & 2 imports in perth's starting five!!

In his 3rd year now and pretty sure he can't naturalise until after the 4th year.

Wouldn't marrying her make him an aussie citizen or is there a qualifying period,& if so how long is it?

He could become a naturalised Aussie right now if he wanted to, he's been around long enough, and if he's getting married and staying put, he could get it this offseason.

This is old news, he will be naturalised before next season if not before the end of this one.

Doesn't mean they could fit everyone in. You may notice that they are only using one import spot as it is.

I think you have to be living here for four years before you can naturalise see Ballinger, Redhage, Dusty, Gruber etc

Even if Perth have two gun naturalized Aussies, they still need to stay under the cap/points system meaning the two new imports would use 20 pts and x amount of $$$$ which means bye bye Robbins, Martin, Tovey.....
Perth will stack their bench with ten year olds.
Having said that it would be great for thePerth and the NBL to have Lisch for 10 years. Perth snag another Ricky Grace

3 years residing in Australia is the requirement. That 3 years only counts the time that you are actually in the country.

Sorry. It is 4 years now I believe and if you are married you dont have to make up the time spent out of the country.

Maybe this applies to sports people.

Special residence requirement

To be eligible for the special residence requirement, you will need to provide additional documents with your application. Your application may be lodged and decided while you are overseas.
•If you are seeking to engage in activities that are supported by particular organisations, such as the Australian Olympic and Paralympics committees, Tennis Australia or a federal government agency, the following special residence requirement may apply to you.
Requirement: To meet the special resident requirement, you must have been living in Australia on a valid visa which allows permanent residency for 2 years immediately before you apply. During those 2 years you must have been lawfully present in Australia for at least 180 days, including at least 90 days of that time in the 12 months immediately before lodging your application.

Would be more than useful in the Boomers line up.

Would be good in a Boomers jersey IMO.

He is a better combo guard than Gibson and Dellavedova

On current form he would be one of the Boomers best players. We sure could use his outside shooting. Lisch for London?
