2K12 Online anygood?

Has anyone played 2k12 online against mates or anyone else?

Had 2K11 But online gameplay was extremely poor,
have they fixed it?

I've played about 6 games online. Played with Orlando Magic (2-1), Phoenix Suns (1-1) and NY Knicks (0-1). I have found it extremely fun, however I have nothing to compare it to as I didn't play 2k11 online.

It is quite hard to dominate with a single player i.e. Kobe etc.

Offensively:-

I have found it very hard to be consistant from the 3pt line due to lag playing a major part in my poor timing. Hopefully I can adjust to it.

Be very careful with your passing, first few games I found myself turning it over a bit through risky passes.

It is also very hard to dominate inside as defences collapse a lot and either block shots or make it very difficult to score.

Easiest way to score is through running plays. It's a lot harder to ISO as the help D is also very good.

Defensively:-

Very very difficult to play onball defense. I get blown by a lot. It's more about positional play rather than playing aggressive on ball D and trying to steal it. I usually play offball and clog the passing lanes

My highlight so far was playing as Phoenix on the 2 vs 1 break and Nash lobbing up an alley oop to a trailing Vince Carter for the dunk!!

Unfortunately the 2K servers have had a bum rap for years for not being all that good.

Not much you can do considering that all the servers are US hosted and our Broadband isn't exactly stellar by any means.

I had the same problems as above, but when I layed my mates from Adelaide it was smooth as anything. Maybe stick to playing local friends?
