lol at joker, the clubs that won it this year are no real surprise, all have reputations for being top standard clubs in that particular age group and gender.

not Altona... ever?? in boys always lucky to make Metro1... and Bulleen won the u16 BOYS. Bulleen has always been poor in Boys in the past. once again lucky to make met1 in past years

That Bulleen age group in particular has always been strong, same with Altona, so it's not like a fluke win, check out Bulleen's under 12's and current 14's, Altona has VC teams in 12's and 14's consistently as well. It's at 16's and 18's where they usually fall off for some reason. Some other clubs like Eltham have that same problem at the moment, poor coaches maybe? overworn players? i dunno.
