- Wortho a big game stats wise but average shooting.
- Crawford 5/8 on threes, that will have him another step closer to making the A team.
- Dellavedova awful stats, 0/7, 2 points and 2 assists in 25 minutes
- Gibson, 9 points, 4/5, 5 steals, 4 assists in 27 minutes
- Tomlinson, 0/6 in 30 minutes, 4 steals
- Wagstaff 14 points, 4/5 in 21 minutes
- Schenscher 14 points, 6/7, 17 minutes.
Obviously some big issues with the defence, but Russia are playing a team that is starting their tournament next week whereas this is the Aussies first game together.
Russia's best player was Kashirov, who was one of the best players for Walter Tigers in the German first division, and they also had Gubanov who is a starter for Dynamo Moscow, and Golovin who has just signed with Unics Kazan, one of the power clubs of Russia.
So if you consider we had Tomlinson, Dellavedova, Greenwood who are college players, Nevill, Wagstaff and Weigh who are medium range NBL guys, and four very good but not superstar NBL players, it was probably a fairly even match-up once you consider how much more developed their team is in their preparation.
