whats wrong with spurs?

How does a team that cruised through the season & be no 1 in the west struggle with the no 8 seed? They got out of jail today & are very lucky 2 hail mary's went in at the death today. Did they peak 2 early? Injuries?

Agreed!
Too slow, too slow and can no longer run with the younger fresher teams. Grizzlers showing it now. It'll be worse if they faced the Thunder.

Manu was out for game 1 and both Duncan and Parker had injuries late in the regular season. I just think it was a case of bad timing. If they can dig themselves out of this series they could still win the west yet.

Too old. But give Memphis some credit. They match up well on the spurs. What has happened to the spurs three point shooters.? They have been stone cold. I think three of thee of them were in the top ten for 3pt % during regular season

Spurs have always struggled against Memphis and Portland. No surprises there.

Tim Duncan has been getting embarrased in this series. Gasol and Randolph have been running rampant in the paint; Duncan just doesn't have the same pop he had 3-4 years ago.

Can't argue either that Mike Conley has been the best pure point guard this finals series; has the best Assist-to-Turnover ratio from all the PG's in the finals.

Tim Duncan's knees are failing him know and as you've said not the same as a few years ago. Now you can take him to school and embarrass him.

Either this season or the next will be Timmy's final season.

All good to say Duncan is this and that and his team is too old, BUT lets face some facts. The Spurs were the best in the WEST...this is FACT. They are matching up against a very very good 8th seed, one of the best in years, and basketball like many sports is a very matchup driven.... Grizzlies have weapons in spots the Spurs have struggled with. Spurs will still win this series, and all of a sudden, TD's knees wont be so old in everyones eyes.
