With the NBL season almost over, If you were building a team from scratch like gold coast in AFL, how would you rebuild your team using the list of current player rankings. Ignore current contracts, who would you want?

Flinders you've just been selected as the next GM of the Adelaide 36ers.

In other news you've managed to lose a promising, talented centre after spelling Luke Nevill's name incorrectly on his contract.

You'd also be better off spending an extra point to get Schenscher or a number of other centres who'd top Nevill.

And I would also prefer to replace the "Import" with Mark Worthington.

Perhaps replace Jacob Holmes with a cheaper import.

PF is the only real weak line. I like Oscar but Jake at 7 points is just not much.

big marty- worthington is not a free agent.

also- do you guys think it would be possible to build a team based around 2 superstar imports- a genuine 25 pts and 10 assists guard and a centre/power forward who can play inside and out and average 25 and 10 also. then place average to good players around them (5 and 6 point players?)

Tyrell, we're playing "ignore all contracts" just to see what team could fit under the points cap.

Could have Saville (9) as the SF, Redhage as PF and upgrade Dann to Tovey.

Wait a minute. No Khazzouh in there seems like an oversight.

70 points.

That'd be four MVP-level players, a +/- beast in Saville, the best bench centre in DJ, Dillon who just had 20ish to see off the Crocs, probably the best PG and defensive player in Martin and then Creek and Dowdell to keep the points down. Saville and Martin wouldn't even need to shoot. And an import spot spare in case of injury. Of course, could be tough to get that under the salary cap.

Funnily enough, you could get a bit of a combination of Boomers/Tall Blacks team going that would probably not humiliate itself in international level competition:

Mills 10/Dellavedova 3
Penney 10/Madgen 3
Barlow 10/Creek 1
Andersen 10/Nielsen 10
Bogut 10/Pledger 1

Room to change Creek for Bose or swap Nielsen for Vukona and then Dellavedova for D Martin.
