Cambage wins WNBL MVP

Bulleen Boomers centre Elizabeth Cambage has capped off a dream Women's National Basketball League season by clinching the 2010/11 Most Valuable Player Award.

Accepting the award at the MVP Dinner at Crown Casino’s Palladium on Monday night, April 4, the esteemed honour is a tribute to Cambage’s dominant season, which was punctuated by numerous highlights, none more memorable than her side’s WNBL Championship victory.

Cambage was a key figure in Bulleen’s success right from the opening tip, leading the league in scoring with 22.3 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while swatting 2.8 shots per game, making her a nightmare opponent for fellow bigs throughout the competition.
(The WNBL haven't provided vote counts in their press releases nor details on how MVP is picked.)

All-Star Five in the WNBL was:

O'Hea
Tolo
Denson
Cambage
Macleod

I don't think you can argue against Cambage winning the MVP.

Tess Madgen not in All Star 5? Best player in a team that finished 3. Denson started the year well, but her team didnt make the finals!!

Doesn't matter where your team finishes. The All-Star 5 is all about the 5 best players in the league in their positions. Not saying that Madgen didn't deserve to either get in there or get very close, but where your team finishes is irrelevant.

No way she goes lower than pick 2 IMO. (or higher than pick 2 ... Maya Moore is as sure a thing as you get)
If Tulsa wants someone other than Cambage with their #2 pick then they'll be able to get their chosen player + more by trading their pick, such is the gap between Cambage and the next best player.

I'm in 100% agreeance with Dunkin' Dan.

Cambage will go #2 and if she doesn't want to play there she will get traded. Daylight between Maya Moore who will go #1 and Cambage.
