Nba travels

I know this has been mentioned previously, but does the nba play a different rule for the pivot foot lifting? In todays game on espn okc vs magic, dwight had the ball in the low post, left foot landed first then the right- however he then reverse pivots lifting his left foot and the red let it go- why/how???

the NBA technically plays under the same rule, and they call it to the rule for the most part, but the really good players get the refs to notice them, and then the refs seem to look after them, same happens here sometimes as well
