Who cares about the Vic Metro team.
SA looks good and Simon Pritchard has had good success with the U/20 girls.
4 girls who have been to the AIS and/or played for Australia. The 2 Southern girls had good seasons in ABA in 2010.
Ashleigh Spencer (Southern)
Tess Keenan (Norwood)
Nicole Seekamp (Sturt) AIS
Olivia Thompson (Forestville) AIS
Hannah Richards (Sturt) AIS
Georgia Minear (Forestville) AIS
Tayla Corrigan (Forestville)
Aneeka Smith (Sturt)Played Australia
Maddi Cunningham (Southern)
Chelsea Roberts (Norwood)
You will know when the team is picked by the parents of those not selected whinging about bias/politics etc.
(see other thread for example...)
Vic Team:
Willamson (Bendigo WNBL)
Herrington (AIS)
Cole (AIS)
Allen (AIS)
Blicvas (AIS)
Bontempelli (Eltham)
Pearce (Bulleen)
Sheedy (AIS)
Garrick (AIS)
Rosie (Dandenong)
Actually 6 of our Sa girls have been to AIS either on scholarship, development camps, u17 squad, u19 squad. That's pretty darn good in my opinion.
Thompson - scholarsip
Minear - scholarship
Richards - scholarship
Seekamp - scholarship
Smith - aus camps, u17 team, u19 squad
Corrigan - aus camps, u17 squad, u19 squad
Keenan, Roberts, Corrigan, part of successful sasi USA tour. Our girls have an awesome team. Not to forget top age girls part of gold 2010 team.
Vics have left OUT of team
clysedale= australian u 17 team and Australa 19 squad
stonehouse = U/20 Vic team,Austrlian Squad
Zammit = U/20 Vic team ,Australian Squad
Kayser= Australia 3 on 3 team and Australian 19 squad
Brave or insightful selection?
Has the team still not been announced? Are they going to select before the tournament gets here?

Zammit and Stonehouse went to France with Gems June'10.
Clydesdale and Stonehouse in Gems squad against new Zealand Sept'10 for Oceaner qualifier for Chille 2011.
Oh well this is what happens when you have so many to choose from. Would think clydesdale's parent would be spitting chips, apparently knocked back AIS 2009. Wonder if it would've changed things..... Mmm
