Saville to have surgery

Bad news for the Hawks. From the NBL site:

Wollongong ahm Hawks veteran Glen Saville is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday in North Sydney after consultation with his specialist and team doctor this week.

Bone bruising was found on his right knee and surgery will show if there is any other further damage which may sideline the 508 game veteran for an extended amount of time.

Saville will definitely miss a minimum of two weeks after surgery and will aim for a possible return to action by the beginning of February.

Perhaps now's the time to have Coenraad in your fantasy team.

A 100% fit Saville isnt good enough to make my Fantasy team at the price he is ...
I do wish him a speedy recovery though

Minimum 2 weeks after arthroscopic knee surgery? I would say more realistically, this season is finished. He is not that young and this kind of surgery leaves a lot of inflammation. All the same, I wish him well. I have a lot of time for the Wollongong Hawks for what they have achieved and under the difficult circumstances.

I am about to have an arthroscope and am expected to miss 2-4 weeks. I am not that much younger than Sav.

EC, the only way he will miss more than 3 weeks is if he has torn a tendon, his meniscus is torn, or the bone is broken like it was before...if it is just meniscus then 3 week and back...

clean up time...

I can't recall any NBL examples EC but football players regularly return from arthroscopes in little more than 2 weeks.
