Big NBA trade?

A lot of talk right now about Orlando shaking their whole team up. The talk is Vince Carter, Gortat & Pietrus to Phoenix for J.Rich, Turkoglu & Earl Clark and then Rashard Lewis to Washington for Gilbert Arenas.

WTF!

Needs a title change..

The Suns have traded JRich, Hedo and Earl Clarke to the Magic for VC, Gortat and Pietrus.

The Arenas/Shart swap is still bubbling away, but might not happen until the new players arrive and suit up.

So the Magic's new starting 5 is :

Jameer Nelson
Gilbert Arenas
Jason Richardson
Hedo Turkoglu
Dwight Howard

They are pretty thin up front and also off the bench backing up the 4&5 positions.

Clark, Bass & Anderson will have to be pretty solid. BUT thinking about it, the top 4 East teams don't have huge line ups either!

Orlando is rumoured to be looking to trade Duhon or Quentin Richardson for a back-up big, which they lost when they traded Gortat, if they get that done, that'll be good enough to match the Celtics.

Don't see why Washington would have wanted Lewis' massive and horrible contract though... I know they wanted Arenas gone but Lewis is owed close to $80 Mil in the next 3 years, throws out cap flexibility.

Boston are pretty big when healthy, O'Neal, O'Neal, Perkins, Erden, Garnett, Davis. Aren't too many teams with a froncourt that big!

Orlando have Howard, Bass, Anderson after this trade, with both Bass and Anderson being a bit small for backup C.

I do like the Arenas pickup...I think he and Richardson on the wings would prove pretty tough to guard with Howard inside. Both can shoot the hell out of it as well as beating dudes off the dribble, something Carter has struggled with in Orlando.

Think the Magic need a solid backup big to be contenders.
