"We" got a mention with Sam Day going at no.3
Gold Coast Convention Centre and AFL did it well.
Just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

"AFL did it well."

Beg to differ. Doing the top 10 in reverse order is possibly Demetriou's dumbest idea yet and that is saying something!

Curnow and Ahmat-Watkins didn't go did they?

Good to see young ahtletes keeping it real aobut their basketball prospects - coz it will be the rare baller than makes it in the big league from this state and country.

THe switch to footy means opportunities, more chance at earning a living still doing what you love - sport

It will be the rare footballer that makes it too!!

Dont forget the number of kids from SA currently getting a free education and life experience in the USA too.

there are more opportunities to play high level footy - how many teams and how many AFL footballers in this country, then tell me how many teams and how many playing NBL

@anon would you call standing around at Alberton watching other people play an opportunity or would you call going to college , getting a degree while partying your ass off plus then being able to play the game all over the world an opportunity?

Luke Davis deserves every bit of success he gets. The boy has worked his arse off over the last 2 years and deserves his chance. May not have the so called talent of some of the others but gee he works hard. May even barrack for the bombers now. Go for it Luke we are all rooting for ya son.

Sam Day played for PAC too. Personally I was hoping that he would skip the AFL and come play for the Old Reds Basketball Club - we are a breading ground for talent
