NBA games thread, Oct 27

Games galore today. Post your comments here.

Happy to see official Hoops.com.au mascot Earl Boykins on the Bucks roster. That's official as in I decided, not as in Boykins endorses the idea.

Good to see D-Wade with a strong performance, 30pts, 7rbs, 5ast, 3stl, 2blks.

The Cavs might just win a championship first with a win over Boston today ;)

Lucky day for the Cavs due to a back to back.

Definitely great to see D Wade bounce back quickly especially after his injury interupted pre-season.

Bogut had 15 & 15 in a narrow loss to the Hornets. Andersen racked up 8 points and 5 boards in 12 minutes in the Raptor's loss to the Knicks.

Few guys with big assist numbers. Kidd had 18, CP3 had 17. Noah put up 18 points and 19 boards.

Some of the rooks had decent number as well.

Favors had 8 points, 10 boards. Turner put up 16 points, 7 boards.

Boston come out and beat the Heat on opening day, and then drop one to the Cavs. I think the Cavs will actually be better than what people think.

Anderson copped a flagrant foul to his name too in that loss to the Knicks. I'm only going by the Box Score as the recap wasn't ready at the time I viewed it.

Bogut had a good game today despite coming back from that injury ahead of time... you could tell he was out of game fitness and hadn't spent the whole off season shooting when he missed 6 FTs in the last Q - he ended up 3/10 from the line.

He tweeted 'That loss is on me Milwaukee'

Monta Ellis is going nuts vs Houston..

41 points going 17-22 from the floor. Curry also having a great game, 23 points and 12 dimes.

Gotta love Bogut. Such a great representative of Australia and basketball - opinionated without being offensive, happy to interact with fans online without acting like he's above them, willing to accept blame or at least put his hand up as a candidate for it, etc.

Bogut is a good sport indeed.

Certainly some good numbers from some players.

Another player with double double's in Amare and David Lee. One Knick and one former Knick.

Summer is the best with basketball on.

Monta finished with 46, and Scola had 36!

Bogut is too kind taking the blame for that loss. His missed free throws hurt, but his team was a lot better with him out there than not. It was more down to the team's defensive rotations not being up to scratch and that allowed Chris Paul to dominate. I hope Drew Gooden doesn't have to play too much centre this season, because he has all the defensive presence of a slightly pugnacious traffic cone.

Should mention that Blake Griffin had a very nice debut, racking up 20 points on 8-14 shooting, 14 rebounds and 4 assists, including a great highlight alley-oop and a play where he ran the break as the point man and threaded a beautiful pass for an easy layup.

The commentators said Blake is one of five #1 picks since 1990 to debut with a double double. Anyone who didn't see the game want to guess the other four?

Webber?
Shaq?
Duncan?
Howard?

2 games for Patty Mills , 0 total mins. He's gonna have a tuff job getting court time behind another rookie guard. Anderson had very impressive numbers for only 12 mins - 8 points and 5 boards.

Bogut looked surprisingly good for minimal preparation, if he stays fit and healthy you could see him ave 20pts & 12 rebs per game come the 2nd half of the season.

New kid Griffin for the clippers looks a serious unit, 20pts 14 rebs and a couple of sweet dunks on debut - too early for ROTY call?

Very close Mimas and Webber is a good guess, but it was actually Derrick Coleman who was the other guy. The other three you listed are all correct.

Not too early for ROY call. Some have already called it in another thread! I picked John Wall for ROY, but if Blake keeps rolling like that, it will be tough to stop him!

Bogues looked sick today. that left arm hook is still a killer blow in the clutch. Once he kicks that arm guard hopefully his F/T % gets up. Can't blame one person for the loss..

What? Olowakandi or Kwame didn't have a double-double on debut?
