We lost 83-75. Cambage again impressive top scoring with 18. Jackson had 13 on an off night, Taylor was terrible.
Started slowly and just couldn't peg it back, not that this result really matters.

Australia played their 'guns' and went down firing, 75-83.
Australia trailed 29-18 at 1/4 time and then 33-51 ast half time. Australia then bounced back in the second half, outscoring the USA 42-33, but it was too little too late.
Cambage had 18 points, Jackson 13 and Snell 11. Harrower had 7 assists.
Australia shot just 17.4% from long range and 38.5% overall from the field compared to USA's 33.3% and 45.7%. All other stat categories were pretty even.
Jackson played 31 minutes, Harrower 29, snell 27, Taylor 25, and Cambage and O'Hea both played 22.
Bishop had her best game of the tourney to date, scoring 8 points on 3/4 shooting and 2/2 from the line alongside 4 rebounds and 2 steal with no turnovers in 17 minutes.
Taurasi led the way for USA with 24 points, whilst Fowles had 15 and Charles 14.
Russia defeated Spain in the other battle of the undefeated teams, leaving the current No.1 (USA) and No. 2 (Russia) ranked countries as the only undefeated teams remaining in the competition.
Australia will now play Czech Republic in their quarter final game scheduled for what I believe to be the early hours of Saturday morning Australian time based on my calculations. The winner of this game would play the winner of the Russia vs Belarus quarter final in the semi final.

BA Recap: http://linky.com.au/23aub
Our first half was very ordinary basketball, and then whilst we did pick it up a little in the 2nd half, the USA took their foot off their accelerator as well.
