Herbie Surgery a Success

Injured Adelaide 36er, Nathan Herbert , has undergone successful surgery on his damaged knee yesterday in Melbourne.

Nathan said in a text message to the club last night " bring on rehab!"

The surgery proved that there was no other damage to the knee other than the already known ruptured ACL.

Nathan is expected back to Adelaide within 2 weeks to initiate his rehabilitation under the guidance of the 36ers medical and fitness staff.

The 36ers are trialing centre Sam Harris tonight and on Sunday to cover Nathan's position. The 36ers take on the Wollongong Hawks tonight in Whyalla and then will play to the sold out crowd at Starplex, Gawler on Sunday. ( Tip off 1pm)

Great news. Good to see Herbie is as positive as ever. I really hope Sam steps up - a back up 5 is sorely needed imo.

Let's just hope the club give him so minutes to see what he can do. No point trialling the bloke if he doesn't hit the court...just remember, it is a "preseason" game!

Goodluck to Herbie (since this threads about him and not Sam Harris!!)

Really look forward to seeing him in the team again next season, was a highlight of mine watching his efforts last season and regardless of who replaces him it will be a big loss to the team.
