Reserves Grand Finals

Tomorrow night the reserves season comes to an end with the grand finals.

Sturt vs South in the mens.

Norwood vs Southern in the womens.

Anyone got any predictions?

I haven't been following either but judging by the season according to sporting pulse the mens top 4 was pretty even leaving the rest of the league for dead. South got up by 2 in their first clash against Sturt with Sturt getting an easy 42 point win the second time round (i didnt bother looking at line up changes for the teams for the two meetings). Sturt finished the season as minor premiers and South have had to win the last 2 weeks coming from 3rd.

In the womens first time they met Norwood got up by 14 points over Southern and it was a 2 point victory to Norwood in their second encounter. As with the men, Norwood finished top and won their way straight through to the grand final with Southern coming from third having won their 2 finals by comfortable margains.

Pretty sure it'll be $3 which is standard spectator fee for these games.

I think Pasadena's lineup is
6:30 U20 Men
8:00 U21 Women (? - maybe reserves)
9:30 Reserve men

Who won MVP for the league and scoring title? Do they still give it out?

Congratulation must go to the Forestville U20 Mens team on losing the unlosable game.

Sturt without Maynard off in college, Spehr at the Oceana qualifiers and OT of playing in Englend the the Englad National junior teams, STurt were ripe for the pickings.

And considering Forestville had beaten them the last couple of times they were red hot favourites.

By, by putting up a Facebook advertisment asking everyone to come and "witness" them finally beating Sturt in a Grand Final was probably not smart.

To them bring in an Imax camera and record a pregame production showed utter contempt.

To say that some of the Sturt boys took that a bit personal, would be an understatment. And a certain individual took things into his own hands to ensure victory.

Next time boys, let sleeping dogs lie. You only have yourselves to thank for losing.

Unfortunately, there will be no next time!

I would say that Gary Birmingham would have won the scoring title if there was one. Tim Klaosen from Sturt won the MVP for the reserves season, I guess he's just lucky Adam "Truck" Blight didn't play a whole season as I reckon he may have had his number! ;)

You tool...........

The filming was part of a Uni project conducted by a Reserves Player

The players were gracious in defeat unlike some players who whenver they lose always complain about umpires being paid .

Some teams win well and lose with respect.

Others don't.

Hydra 77 , I would like to guess what one you would be ?

I have my thoughts, but deep down you are a tool mate

Gracious in defeat, annon?
It was rather 'gracious' when Adam Doyle shoved Jan Warbout in the back whilst shaking hands after the game

Reply #289408 | Report this post

Adam Doyle is a legend. Warbout is probably lucky Doyle didn't unleash a fly kick Eric Cantona style.

Gracious in defeat? Just like the coach who got a T for arguing about a possible 8sec backcourt call..... After one of his team, who were only down by 3 then fouled daly on a three point attempt when he was about 3 meters out from the line, then the next offence basically passed the ball to the other team, yet mr.coach was still whinging about the 8sec call.

Doubt that I would be sitting at home and writting facebook invitations about a game of basketball I'm going to play in though.

How can we differ on opinion on facts?

Losing graciously wuold include not getting a T is assume.
