I remember a shoe in the 90s that said it increased your vertical leap as well. Anyone remember the brand.

I think this raises an interesting point for discussion, similar to the swimming issues with the body suits.

Do players who wear these shoes potentially have an unfair advantage over an opposition without them? At what point does new technology need to be regulated to keep a level playing field and ensure that skill is what's really providing the advantage?

Interested to hear what others have to say.

Right on the money Mr Rod, La Gear brought out the Catapult which was proudly worn by Karl Malone.

Had the joy of selling these back in the 90's, at a $180 you got a little plastic half shell connected to a little metal clicker.

I think the extra jump came from lightening your back pocket....
