Mills Receives Qualifying Offer From Portland

Update: The Blazers made a qualifying offer to Mills, the Columbian reports.

Analysis: The deal is worth a reported $937,000. Mills, who's a restricted free agent, still hasn't accepted the deal. The Blazers already have 15 players signed for the 2010-2011 season, so it's uncertain where Mills will fit. If he opts to play in Europe this season, the Blazers will still hold his NBA rights.

This is very old news, if you read the article it is 9 days old and the offer is not guaranteed meaning they could release him at any time

But on a recent interview with sports tonight Patty indicated that he is very close to signing a contract but they are working it out

Here is a link to Gaze.com.au who has the story

By all accounts Patty will be playing hoops in USA next season, it is just a case of on which team and which league.

He turned down the European offer as he wanst to pursue his NBA dream.
