Tigers have secured their spot, they have the split over North. I believe North have the split on Norwood, according to Boti's article, so a North win and a Norwood loss next week would see North make finals.

What if all 3 finished on the same amount of wins? So if North win, Tigers and Norwood lose they would be on equal wins.
Going over the season, games between these teams show North has 3 wins, Tigers 2 and Norwood 1. That would mean North go through.
Then between Tigers and Norwood they are 1-1 with Norwood having the points split.
If the above happens, does that mean North finish 4th, Norwood 5th and Tigers 6th? That is how I would read it.

On a three way tie
North 4th
Norwood 5th
Soouthern 6th
But not for the reasons you have used. It is the splits of only the games played by the teams in the tie.

But if you look at the splits between the three teams, North have 3 wins, Tigers have 2 wins and Norwood 1.
North beat Norwood twice and Tigers once.
Tigers beat Norwood once and North once.
Norwood only beat Tigers once.
Results between the teams in the tie.
North over Southern:North are 14up
Norwood Over Southern Nwd are 20pts up
North over Norwood:North are up 20pts
You use these pt spread to come up with a positive or negative number, thus ranking the teams.
I think the actual numbers are:
North +14 pts
Norwood 0pts
Southern -14 pts
Assuming a 3 way tie!
The 28 pt loss to Norwood is what has hurt the Tigers.

Yes it does.
Head to heaad wins.
Then points betweenthe teams.
Then overall points.
Then coin toss.
Or we could go baseketball style and do a two man sack race on consecutive Sundays? :D
Firstly the CABL By-Laws have to be the most disgraceful document managing a competition in the world, of any sport.
How hard is it to have something in there of meaning. Or to finish the document so it doesn't have red lettering and points crossed out? Seriously, what a joke.
The laziness of the by-laws means that the rule regarding the final placing is as follows:
11 Premiership Tables
Premiership tables are as determined by FIBA Rules and Regulations.
What a joke!
Going by FIBA rules on a three way tie the following would occur.
D.1.3 If there are more than two (2) teams in the classification with equal points, a second
classification will be established, taking into account only the results of the games
between the involved teams.
D.1.4 If at any stage of this procedure the number of teams with equal points is reduced
to only two (2) teams, the procedure in D.1.1 and D.1.2 above will be applied.
D.1.5 If in the second classification there are still teams with equal points, the goal
average will be used to determine the placing, taking into account only the results
of the games between the involved teams.
D.1.6 If there are still more than two (2) teams with the same goal average, the placing
will be determined using the goal average from the results of all their games played
in the group.
D.1.7 If at any stage of this procedure the number of teams with equal points is reduced
to a tie still involving more than two (2) teams, the procedure, beginning with D.1.3
above, is repeated.
D.1.8 Goal average will always be calculated by division.
Follow?
In summary, Tigerland is correct.
North would go through as 4th in the threeway tie as they have the game win/loss break.
Norwood v Southern is then a tie with the Flames having the points difference.
North 4th
Norwood 5th
Southern 6th and out.
That's IF BSA apply the FIBA rule and don't just make up their own interpertation of the rule.
Guess we'll all have to wait and see, I'm sure Tigers would despute the result if the above occured and the genious Competitions Committee made up of club reps and parents would have to decide how they interpret the FIBA by-law.

re: Abl women finals equasion
This rule has not changed since the early 1990's.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with the competitions committee.
The 3 way is separated by % of only the teams in the tie. In terms of calculations it is easier to use the points spreads as they will be the same as the %.
Wam you're wrong. This has changed recently
Used to be that the three teams we're broken up by teams played between all three teams.
Now FIBA have changed the rules so once u have a winner, in this case North the other two teams go through the process again this time as a two team tie with their results against North no longer counting to break a tie, because North are no longer in a tie.
The rules have changed.
In the old days Tigers would be 5th, Norwood 6th. Now that would be reversed.
I agree it shouldn't have anything to do with the Competitions Committee but this is BSA and I'm certain they'll have to get involved.

If the three teams finish on equal wins at the end of the season, North will finish 4th with 3 wins and a loss, Southern 5th with 2 wins and 2 losses and Norwood in moth ball with 1 win and 3 losses in the head to head of the games between the 3 teams.
Points difference only is used should the teams have finished with two wins each.
For those of you who slag off at BSA, your jealousy is sickening.

At the end if the day, this will be a non-issue.
Norwood play Eagles at Wayville in last round. Norwood have as much chance of winning that game as Mel Gibson singing at a Barmitza (or however it's spelt!)

The big game is the Sturt/North game at Hillcrest.
This will be very close. Last time Sturt by 3. My predicted score is 62.2 North to 62.8 Sturt. Too close to call!
Don't think Jo Hill's bum will see much bench time....

Ha Ha Oden08. Will they have some champagne to mark the occation?
Based on Saturdays results a north win over sturt would seem unlikely, if they can pull that off you'd think the eagles would help them out especially if the big 2 are still out for flamettes, the easiest way for the 3 way to be avoided is if the tigers can upset the cats again
