Personaly I would be happy to see the Lightning sign two more imports plus Jess Mahoney and think they will have a solid team - is there a restriction on imports in the Wnbl?

We need at least 2 international signings to go top 4 - a 200cm 5 player and a shooting off guard. They would need to be wnba standard. I cant see this happening. canberra and bulleen have a monopoly on rising stars. It will be a long season. Dandy flames logan and fire making top 6. Lynx ais and adel fighting for the spoon. Who will be our captain?

Rachel Herrick at the Norwood Flames has played with Sydney.
Forget about herrick not tall / good enough. No local talls. We are up against cambage penaluna & co - need a fearless 200cm player. No Locals fit. Lets get erin lorenzini back !

certainly showing what she can do after 3 years on the bench in Sydney..
I've seen a few norwood games and if she is actually given the ball can create for herself but is also good at finding shooters.. perhaps with some good perimeter players who can feed the post might be ok. even as a back up to this 200cm superstar you are never going to find!

She is playing for Manly in the NSW ABA (waratah league). Her stats are outstanding. Might be worth the phone call. Heard Sydney are still bleeding players that don't want to play under Dalton.
Herrick a little lazy in D, but we "gotta smoke em" if we can get them at the moment.
Other options? Lorenzini def needs a look.
anon - 6'4" is a good height for womens comp - but look at what she is up against !!

Why dont they run something like to 6ers just have and get some of the local talent out so they can have a look.
I doubt Steve would have had much of a look at the local girls with coaching at Eastern.

Locals ain't gonna help that squad. That squad would needs LJ, Penny Taylor and Taurasi to be competitive.
Caps have also picked up Allison Lacey. The 10th pick from the last WNBA draft. Helps that she's a Canberra girl.
Going to be another Caps/Bulleen grand final with Dandenong sniffing around with the addition of Bishop, Manou, Perera and Foley.

tallish girl only a bench player from an average ncaa div 1 school - but their programme greatly improving.
nikita only a bench player at best - too 1 dimensional
unless they get 2-3 big names soon ....
and we thought last season was bad.....

Monique Bowley seems to have everyone's measure this ABL season.
Mons is a good utility player and an option but hardly the answer
