Rookie Refs

Hey all,

After watching a few games on the weekend i would just like to say a big congratulations to two referees who had their ABL debuts on the weekend,

Vanessa Devlin - Who refereed the Eastern and Forestville women at Mt Barker

Daniel Troy - Who refereed the Southern and Centrals women at STARplex.

Well done to both, and from what i have heard they both done very well.

We need this fresh blood in the refereeing ranks, these two look like promising candidates.

daniel troy has reffed for many years, mainly at morphett vale and he is 1 of the best refs i have ever had umpire me and also i have also had the pleasure of reffing with him.

Daniel Troy is one of the best up-and-coming refs around....I should know, I've reffed with him.

If he came to Pasadena to ref on a friday night, I would not hesitate in giving him 20M1 and as UIC I know he'd do a top job.

He's not afraid to step up when he has to and take charge!

Congrats to both Daniel and Vaness!

I have had Daniel ref me from way back. He is one of the best, esp at MV, and he knows that what happens in the game, stays in the game.

And also congrats to Matt Coombe who did his firt mens ABL. Both his partner and evaluator said he did an awsome job on a tough game, west v woodville.

yeah Dan Troy did another girls game on sat nite at hillcrest... did very well... bit dissapointing that his partner wasnt as good as him.. well done to matt and wayne that did the boys game!!! Daniel u just keep getting better... well done mate
