What now for Mills

So wondering now Portlands out of the finals what the best thing for Mills would be...
If they use him as a trade will he be able to get more minutes elsewhere, or would it be better for him to stay in Portland. I know its not his choice, just looking for ppl's opinions

I think Miller will go, even though he played OK this season. Apparently he didn't get along well with Nate. Might mean he gets up the pecking order?

His contract is gauranteed, so Blazers might keep him another season, see if he comes on a bit. Maybe even see how he goes at the worlds?

Because the Blazers traded Blake and were apparantly fielding offers for Miller also, you would have to assume that Patty is in their long term plans, especially when you consider the playoff minutes he received (all be it in junk time of blowout games).

But as we all know the NBA is anything but predictable and he may still get moved on to free up a roster spot if they decide they can get someone who is a better fit. Whether he stays with the Blazers or moves to another team, it would be nice to see him get some more minutes next season because he is far too good to be just sitting on a bench gathering dust.

His games in the D-League this season showed he was a class above the players in that league and I think he could give an NBA team (including Portland) a great scoring boost off the bench if given the opportunity.

In the few times he made it on the floor this year and from the limited D-League footage I've seen, it seems that he has significantly improved his drive and kick game. He used to drive wildly at times, and was prone to chucking up poor shots but he now seems to be able to hit the open guys in the corner. If he continues to improve his playmaking ability I can't see how an NBA team wont want to give the guy quality minutes. He can shoot the lights out at times, he's lightening quick, a great ball handler and committed defender. If you can add great passer to that list, what else do you want?

considering pat missed the preseason and a chunk of the regular season it has to be seen a plus that he actually got the time he got this year.
have to think he would be looking at an expanded role in portland next season. what would be good is if he stays injury free leading into next year to build up a good preparation

I expect Patty to be with the Blazers next season. His contract is guaranteed as he played 10 games during the 09/10 season. Doesn't mean he can't be bought out.

I think he displayed enough in limited time for teams to have a look at him if he's bought out.
