Mark Stein names Bogut to his All NBA 2nd Team

A bit of a suprise here, with ESPN journo Marc Stein effectively putting Bogut as the 2nd best centre in the league..... ahead of Tim Duncan and Pau Gasol.

He also says he should be considered for most improved.

Part of me thinks he has a point for both, but when you think of all the guys who've got 2nd team all NBA as a centre in the last 10-15 yrs (most of them are Hall of famers) you realise how the centre position has dwindled.

Statistically good players on crap teams also rarely get picked in all-nba teams as we know.

He is not on a crap team - they are 5th in the East. David Lee is on a crap team.

I'm very biased towards Bogut but this award can be completely justified statistically compared to other centres in the running.

Offensively he is 2 PPG behind Duncan but more than makes up for that in his defensive dominance and +/- stats

Likewise, Gasol lags way behind defensively.

Amare doesn't count at C for the awards - he's played PF all season.

Noah means a lot to the Bulls but has been injured and offensive production is way down compared to Bogut.

Horford should never have got to the All Star game above him and Josh Smith
