HSH, Day 1 Game 2: Coasters vs Rays

Teams getting introduced now. Brad Davidson and Darren Ng with the Coasters. Rays have Lisch and D Martin amongst others. Dave Bowley has got a gig with the Rays. Brad Hill too. Ben Allen has just been introduced.

The crowd is flat and the introductions are (save for the music) virtually silent. Bit embarrassing in a way so hopefully they can get into the games quickly each time.

They are doing one-by-one intros which seems a bit over the top considering the crowd. Could perhaps introduce the team, owner and coach as a whole and then just mention the player names while they warm up? Obviously the games themselves are the best part of HSH.

Teams warming up now. Some decent NBL players in this game.

Anyone heard them tell us who #14 is for the Rays? Had a couple of good plays in a row. Edit: It's Freddy Robinson.

Andrej Lemanis spotted in the crowd, possibly scouting potential imports?

Early 36ers signing Darren Ng has just got five quick points.

Lisch is working to drive up his signing price.

Liam Flynn seems to have some role with the Rays.

Freddy Robinson looks half decent.

Cal Bruton joking that Sean Lampley must've liked the food in Japan (playing for the Seahorses) as he's put on weight.

34-49, Rays up. 3-4 mins left in the half.

Aaron Fearne is there and has been shown a couple of times (once talking to ex-Taipan Rashad Tucker).

Gamebreaker suddenly looks great after the Coasters pull back into the game in the third. Down 68-75 nearing the end of three.

Put your hard-earned on the Rays at this early stage. Have a well-drilled backcourt, have been training for a few weeks now, and bring that hard-edged Perth Wildcats hustle/intimidation. They looked good in person.

Dude, haven't you seen Lost? They've been training for years and I swear I saw Richard Alpert coaching on the sidelines.

PS. OK, for fact's sake, they looked like they'd been training for weeks.

PPS. Get your money on them.
