A FORMER employee siphoned $12 million of Flinders University's funds into his own bank account in one day, court documents allege.
Flinders University has launched Supreme Court civil action against Christopher Wayne Fuss, claiming he "misappropriated" more than $20 million while working as a cashier between August 2007 and January 2010.
The documents allege Fuss, 46, of Glengowrie, who received an annual salary of $58,000, used some of the $20 million to buy a property in Glenelg for $1.7 million.
The documents also allege that on January 20 he diverted $7 million and then $5 million from the university into his personal bank account.
Today, the Supreme Court froze several of Fuss's assets and his bank account pending further investigations.
In October, AdelaideNow revealed Fuss was among the eight-person "Save Our Sixers" consortium that rescued the team.
Fuss has been in custody since January 22 after being charged with five counts of deception over the alleged fraud.
He will next appear in court in April.
