Hawks vs Crocs, January 20

Wollongong are $1.65 favourites at home (same odds as the night's other game) against Townsville. Townsville have won four-straight and are a league-best 5-5 on the road.

The Hawks are, however, 10-1 at home and saw off the Blaze last week despite being without Ty McKee.

Townsville are 12-8 on the ladder and will want wins to lock in their finals spot while Wollongong is in a similar position, but have played two extra games to sit at 12-10.

Who do you think will win, and who do you want to win?

(The teams out of the four will probably want the Hawks to drop this one as they're probably the easier team to overtake given the extra losses. The Crocs have a softish run home with five of eight games against teams outside the top four, including two against Cairns and home games against NZ and Adelaide.)

just a couple of things from tonights game that wasnt mentioned in the nbl recap.

brad williamson didnt have any basketball shoes for whatever reason, he was wearing brooks running shoes.

roberts exited the game just after the shoving incident and did not return. it also looked like he was wearing a maxi pad.

peter crawford is still the only player who has ever responded to my heckling. he kept "frustrated fouling" after he went ice cold. had a pretty soft foul for his fourth, but then did the old hack at the ball literally 3 secs later.

the reffing was actually really good tonight. always the controversial calls either way, but it seemed even stevens by the end.

luke martin had a blinder tonight, shook the crap outta the defence on multiple drives to the basket, crossed em up real nice.

Great win by the Hawks, when the Crocs figured out they couldn't win the game by playing basketball they put on a fight, in true Aussie tradition, didn't work the Hawks hung in. Onwards to the GF, hopefully at the gong.
