EA Sports bringing back NBA Jam for Wii?

Rather intriguing story on ESPN: Linky.

If nothing else it will pose one of the late 20th century's most enduring questions to a new generation of gamers: is it the shoes?

Love this too:

"Shaq actually bought two machines," said Turmell. "He kept one at home and then, if you can believe this, they shipped the game with them on their road trips, setting up the machine in their hotel rooms as they traveled. The players would play, then get someone to pack it up and ship it off to the next city."

Meh to the Wii.

However if someone released a HD version on Xbox Live? I'd be on that like a shot.

just hope it is not like the crappy nba jam version they released on the ps2 a few years ago. keep the original concept of the original, just upgrade players and graphics.

I always liked Pippen and Horace or 'Nique and Plastic Man as a combo.
As much as it hurts to say it, Stockton and Malone were pretty hard to beat as well.

Yes Rod, it's exactlty what I was talking about.

Download MAME from here.....

http://mamedev.org/release.html

and then download ROMS, including NBA Jam, from here....

http://www.rom-world.com/dl.php?name=MAME

And off you go.....it's really not THAT hard.

And, yes, I do love it.

Especially with a logitech gamepad.

If you want to go really nuts, you can get MAME cabinets that emulate the full gameplay experience (with a PC inside) but allow you to store hundreds of games in a single unit.

SWEET!!!!
