Knicks sign Jonathon Bender
In a feel-good story (something the Knicks need, although they have won a few lately), Bender has signed on as a free agent for the season.

Drafted out of high school, he was seen as a player with huge potential, but retired after only 6 seasons and multiple injuries.
Has spent the last few years in New Orleans, running a development company that focused on re-building low cost housing destroyed by Katrina. By all accounts, a man of fine character - another thing the Knicks need.
Hopefully Bender can be the athletic 7 footer that backs up Lee, and Robinson is traded for an expiring contract.
