I wouldve thought worst case, the 76ers could do this as a thankyou to the fans and to AI. Im sure there are many fans that would love to see him retire a 76er...'where he belongs', and just imagine how marketable they become again, and all those jeresy sales!

Except he would mess up any development of other players, teaching them only to bitch and maon about starting, take bad shots causing the team to lose and defend no one.

He did get a team to the NBA finals and even took a game off the lakers, in that finals series. I dont think its all doom and gloom as far as AI goes. They'd be a better team atleast on the offensive end with him in it... and im sure the owners would be salivating at the ticket sales.

ESPN reports that 76ers coach Eddie Jordan and general manager Ed Stefanski had a two-hour meeting in Dallas on Monday with free-agent guard Allen Iverson before the team's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
