Are the U18 trials still on?

BSA have an explicit heat policy linked to the forecast temp on the day posted in the advertiser of 38 and above - games off, save Dome and Starplex.Well done to them.
But what is the go with the U18 State trials on Saturday when it's in the midst of a heatwave and the forecast is 39 degrees. No one is quite sure. Do the BSA rules apply?

From the BSA site

"State Team Training - Hot Weather Policy
This Hot Weather Policy solely relates to the cancellation policy for Basketball SA State
Team training and has been developed to notify players, coaches, officials and
parents/care givers when training will definitely be cancelled due to heat.
On days when the forecast maximum temperature as published in the Advertiser/Sunday
Mail that day is 38 degrees or higher, all State Team training (including matches) will be
cancelled or postponed, unless sessions are being held within an air conditioned stadium
with the temperature controlled below 38 degrees.
Coaches are not to expect players to train when the weather conditions are considered
extreme and unsafe."

This came into force last year and State preparations were very disrupted by the heat wave we had early this year.

Let me guess; the state coaches then make it "voluntary" to turn up, worrying all involved that if they don't turn up it will ruin their chances, so the end result is a thumping training in 40 degree heat?

Wrong anon. If you actually read the policy, they are CANCELLED.
Thus you will have to find something else you use in your anti-state-coach agenda...
