Homicide nabs back-to-back POTW

Townsville Crocodiles' superstar Corey 'Homicide’ Williams has won his second consecutive National Basketball League (NBL) Player of the Week award after a stellar performance in Round Four.

Williams, who also took the Round Three weekly honours, exploded for 37 points as well as adding seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in the Crocs’ 101-91 Round Four victory over the Gold Coast Blaze on Friday night at ‘The Swamp’ in Townsville.

Williams went a scorching 13-of-18 from the field (72%) and 11-of-14 from the free throw stripe (79%) as he almost singlehandedly drove the Crocs to victory, a 3-2 record and second position on the NBL ladder.
Runner-up was Mark Worthington (31/9/3 in full 40 mins), followed by Tywain McKee's 23 points carrying the Hawks to a comeback win over NZ.
Other leading contenders for the NBL Player of the Week in Round Four included Stephen Weigh (Perth), Shawn Redhage (Perth), Darren Ng (Adelaide), Cameron Tragardh (Wollongong) Erron Maxey (Gold Coast), Chris Goulding (Gold Coast), Daryl Corletto (Melbourne), Ayinde Ubaka (Gold Coast) and CJ Bruton (New Zealand).

Worthy back-to-back recipient.

Not a bad idea - a naturalised Homicide could be a good thing.
