Locked: Goldfields Giants seeking Aussie players for 2010
The SKILLED Goldfields Giants currently have positions available on our roster for the 2010 State Basketball League (SBL) season.
With the loss of a couple of key players from our 2009 team, we are looking to recruit starting-quality Aussie players who have the skills to make an immediate contribution towards the team, and to help us in our quest to win a third championship.
For those unfamiliar with our team or the league, the Giants are based in Kalgoorlie in regional Western Australia and have played in three of the last four SBL Grand Finals, winning two of them. Kalgoorlie is the gold mining capital of Australia and has been at the forefront of recent mining and industrial booms.
We regard our club as one of the most dynamic and professionally-run basketball clubs in Australia outside of the NBL, and we will be doing what we can to field a team capable of winning a championship in 2010.
For any prospective player, a move to Kalgoorlie and to the Giants will not only reap rewards in a basketball sense, but also in a career sense, in particular as it is still one of the few places that have employment and skills shortages.
Assistance with employment, accommodation and relocation can be negotiated to players who feel they can make a valuable contribution to our team.
If you are interested in playing in a great regional city, alongside a fantastic group of guys, and in front of some of the best fans around, please email us at [email protected] for more information. Alternatively you can fax us on 08-90213373.
