Asia Oceania Wheelchair Basketball Championships

The IWBF Asia Oceania Mens Wheelchair Basketball Championships are just getting underway at Dandenong this morning. They are on until Saturday. There are 6 nations competing with 3 spots to next world championships up for grabs. The Aussie Rollers games are being telecast on ABC2.

Justin Eveson top scored with 22pts for the Aussies. Brad Ness and Shaun Norris scored 16pts. The win means Australia have not only qualified for Saturday Night's final but also have qualified for 2010 world championships with still a round robin match to play.

In this game Malaysia took a shock 9-2 to half way through the first quarter then Japan scored 55pts in a row before Malaysia scored again late in the 3rd Quarter.
