Shouldn't be hard for Skip to come up with a sound bite for that.

"The Sweeney's doin' 90 cos they've got the word to go..."

Somewhere between a courtside ticket and what it used to cost five years ago. Who knows.

Either way, huge thanks to Hood Sweeney for their support of the club and sport.

You might be able to get a million from a naming rights sponsor.

Camel 31,

It was $500k 6-7 years ago when the economy and basketball were in better positions.

Lucky to get 250k for a year now with how everything is.

Number 44 - Might be 35th in Australia, but that probably puts them in the Top 2 or 3 in South Australia.

Have any of you Armchair critics ever tried to get Sponsors for anything, since getting Granny to part with a $1 for your year 5 readathon!

Who cares how much it has cost them for naming rights, just Bloody fantastic that they have put their hands in their pockets.

Now as 36ers fans, we should be doing our best to support them (and all other Sponsors) as much as we can, or next year we could be wondering why we don't have any Sponsors at all.

Skip maybe top two or three of the independents but given most of the accountants of any size are part of national groups nationally they'd be small beer.

Having said that any money is good money and given they're SA focussed it's likely to be more sticky which can only be a good thing.

Great to get another SA business on board.

Is it only basketball where a sponsor puts their support behind a salvaged club and flailing league and someone talks down their calibre?

Hood Sweeney are proud to be South Australian and to "partner with the Adelaide 36ers on the next stage of their journey" - great to have them step up and get on board, IMO. Who cares if they're buying low to sell high, all the smarter.

It would be lucky to be more than 100k, great if they got that. You need to understand the landscape in Adelaide people!

They also have a branch in Whyalla where they played the pre season...

Might have been some good PR and they are keen to get onboard..
