ONE HD to show classic NBA games

http://linky.com.au/afsra

"The countdown to the new NBA season beginning Oct 28 starts with Classic Hall of Fame matches featuring 2009 inductees Michael Jordan, David Robinson and John Stockton. The first is Game 6 of the 97 NBA Finals between the Bulls and the Jazz starting 10pm next Friday."

Very exciting news in my books, especially building up to the start of the NBA season

Possibly the best news I've heard all year. Now just show some vintage Magic Johnson stuff, and all will be great with the world.

Here's a thought - perhaps we could see some NBL too. Oh yeah, have to get payTV to get that. (And don't anyone write back saying Foxtel is cool and all the rest - this is still killing basketball.)

yeah great news, i still dust off the VCR tapes of the bulls championships and watch them now and then. Just hearing the bulls intro gets you so pumped up and nostalgic.

It was early 80's games on channel 7 (i think) normally after the Thunderbirds - Lakers v Celtics (Magic v Larry) was the ultimate and that got me excited about bball and made me want to play. Id been AFL mad up to that point...

Thats when the game was at its peak IMO - players played for each other and the team, they played for the love of the game and they played with passion. Getting paid was just a nice bonus. Ahh the old days :)

Awesome. ONEHD= TNT. Foxtel = ESPN.

TNT + ESPN = 5 games a week.

Side note: I posted about NBA games on tv before. Thanks for all the help here.

Side note 2: OneHd, Ch 9 etc look very, very nice in HD.

But man, ESPN HD is out of this world. The picture blows away the Aus HD channels. Simply stunning. I've been watching the NFL games on it and can't believe how clear it is. It's like being there in the crowd. CANNOT WAIT to watch the NBA on it.
