Yeah - link is a bit off, both the one I posted and their official website one. Better than nothing.

Aussies won I think 70-52 in the end.

Trying to locate a box score but there is nothing yet posted on the official website. No live stats either.

Looks like a defensive game and we won - maybe some of the defensive issues are starting to be ironed out perhaps?

As ridicolous as this sounds Dellavedova could probably be the captain at this point. Obviously that wouldn't happen but honestly he is the only Boomer that shows leadership skills--He gets them grouped up into huddles during short stoppages and is not scared to delegate and tell people where to go.
The older players need to step up and show more leadership e.g. Harvey, Forman, Crawford, Holmes

Delly lead the U19 team for the last two years as the Captain, so its not foreigh territory for him.

Anon, I knew he lead the Under 19 Team, but I didn't expect him to translate those leadership skills to the Boomers as a rookie. He has done a tremendous job.

Spot on MACDUB, a couple of times Delly was the one keeping the guys focussed and pulling them intu huddles - impressive young kid.

Hope he can develop enough to be a senior Boomer one day - not sure he has enough speed?

Great effort from our guys, it was a Turkish development squad, but it is an Aussie devt squad too and we beat them comfortably - great experiecen for the young guys, and a much needed boost in confidence.

Hopefully China and Angola also have devt squads there.

Finally managed to watch the extended highlights of the Turkey game. Turkey seemed a pretty poor side, but there were a few things I liked:
- Dellavadova played great, chasing down all the contestable rebounds, advancing the ball with energy and purpose. Very committed, mature performance from such a young guy. Gotta be a shot for the Worlds.
- Majok is still very raw and learning the game, but boy has he got potential with his athleticism and rangy arms. The problem we had with Jawai in particular not having the mobility to rotate effectively on defence, Majok could solve nicely down the track with some good training! Nice looking FT's too.
- Oscar looked good. Hustled for boards, was aggressive on D, ran the floor for an easy layup and was active setting screens. A real improvement from the NZ game.
