Breakers to announce second import today

The New Zealand-based ANBL basketball franchise, the Breakers, is set to announce today a key signing for the upcoming season.

Chief Executive Richard Clarke says it is just a matter of dotting the 'Is' and crossing the 'Ts' and he believes Breakers' fans will be happy with the tenth signing of the season.

Not really.

If a rumour is passed on third-hand or posted elsewhere, I will post it. If it's given to me and I'm asked to keep it quiet, I will only put it out there if it's broken somewhere else first (e.g., discussing Groves, without confirming the signing, based on Boti's article). And I'm a lot more careful with 36ers/Breakers news than that from other clubs.

I reckon its got to be a big name Centre/Power Forward type looking at their list, but to be fair i have not seen Pledger or Trueman play, i have assumed they are not starters yet.

Pledger is a development player, but has been putting up decent numbers on the Tall Blacks tour of Europe.

The Breakers import will be a C/PF, yes.

Trueman will be like Tanner last season - few minutes in garbage time. Already going to be tough enough finding the rest of the bench minutes as it is IMO (will be true of a lot of teams).

surely they will anounce the signing before the 6pm news!?

Comon isaac at least give us a hint!

Let me know if hes played in the nbl before and ill be content..
