The AIS selection trials for men were conducted on the weekend.

Does anyone know who attended and/or know how they went?

Igor Hadziomerovic was there, as mentioned in an AIS press release below.

The five AIS scholarship holders selected in the 2009 Boomers squad are: Jason Caddee, Cody Ellis, Hugh Greenwood,Igor Hadziomerovic (currently attending AIS trial camp)and Brock Motum (former AIS scholarship holder).

In newBL AIS team should be of players 22 and under with 2 aussies over the age of 22, the AIS has as good a reputation as a good college in the states. It is also a great means of developing a future boomers squad. Once players are over 22 they should be then recruited by other clubs or alotted a spot as a player over 22.

regarding above, doesnt that mean that the players in the AIS team cannot play college because they have already played in an "professional" league. I doubt many of the kids would choose a weaker NBL team over college in the states....

As per moose66's comment..
The AIS womens team play in the WNBL, yet their eligibility is not questioned by the NCAA. The same deal would surely apply to the men, as BA have already thoroughly briefed the NCAA on what role the AIS plays in developing young talent. AIS teams are not seen as 'professional' in their eyes.
