KG & General: New consortium almost over the line

Just heard Smyth say on KG and the general that the new group is almost over the line, the bank guarantee is sorted they just need 2 more small investors in the $75-100k range to get them over the line, they are going to try and get onto Bauer during the show

You actually have to wonder how strong this consortium is if they need an additional $200k to get over the line?

Did anyone see the article today in the Tiser (page 64) re Adelaide United. They are looking at bringing investors on board. One has an est net worth of $170 mill while the other names mentioned are all on the BRW's young rich list meaning their worth more than $20 mill each.

These are the people that Bball need to attract - even just one will do.

You just hope the people involved have the capacity to be able to inject cash into the franchise on an ongoign basis as required as it might take some time to turn the business into a profitbale entity. You don't want to be back in this same position in 12 mths time because of small mum are taking a hit financial & they are not strong enough to ride it out.

I hoep something can be worked out but at the same time I hope due diligence is done & a 5 yr model plan is adopted to add some stability

The last thing basketball needs is a bunch of rich people throwing money away. The sport has declined because of this already. Soccer will follow

Anonymous.........your suggestion is to get mum & dad investors or small investors in with their $75K-$100k worth of funds that if one of them sneeze the whole club may colapse?

If we don't want to attract these type of people what is your suggestion? Perth & South who have wealthy owners are in the new nbl........look at us
