Lakers Practice Report

Just saw the Lakers practice report, checkout Andrew Bynum's video. During the interview he was collecting seemingly unlimited number of his jerseys. It's like, man how many you need.

nah they wear a new jersey each quarter.

seriously, yes they do get a new jersey and shoes each game. The uniforms are prepared in their locker before their arrival.

far out they are spoilt.

but do they re-use them or just sell each one after its been worn la boy? And wouldnt u want to wear your shoe in a bit instead of always having new ones?

yeah I've always had the same thoughts about shoes, some NBA players just "keep" the new shoe but that's rarity, most of them think they want a "new" start each game (which is just some garbage).

You've got to remember NBA is the top league in the world their athletes are millionaires with international TV on multimillion dollar contract. All players will need to be at their best presentation.

PS: Most of the times their used gear goes into charity unless it's a special event (eg Kobe's 81pts)

It is definitely a luxurious league to play in.

they have to pay for their own uniforms/shoes etc. Gilbert arenas had to stop doing it in his rookie season cos he couldnt afford it.

mmm I'm not sure when did the players had to play for their own uniform? when NBA was domestic? all their uniform costs are covered by merchandise. Their shoes are from sponsoships.

Doubt many NBL players are even left to pay for their own shoes let alone uniforms.

Well they probably get a shirt per month, or something. I was reading Gilbert arenas's blog, and it said he used to give away his jersey every game in his rookie season. But he had to stop because he couldn't afford it, so he used to give his shoes away every game
