And that's part of the amateurish perception of Australian basketball to the naked eye- a sport that has teams that frequently fold, who don't nurture their own sport, then beg for money from the public to stay alive.
The public do enough- it should never have to come to them taking matters into their own hands to do that, even though they choose to.
If these arrogant cowboy owners were as smart as they believe, they wouldn't need to shamelessly rely on public generosity (which they forget quickly when they're back on their feet) to get through.
I am embarassed for basketball when it comes to this and know of others in business that believe it tarnishes the sports' credibility.
