Heal to retire, play off bench this season

Full article

The 38-year-old superstar, who has bravely played through a painful back injury for the past month, has asked coaching staff to play from the bench for the remaining three games of the season, before calling it quits.

In a changing of the guard, rising star Daniel Joyce will start, with Heal to be injected as an impact player during the game.
According to writer Daniel Meers:
Joyce has played a starring role in two Blaze wins and had his highest scoring year in the NBL.

Many regard him as the best defender in the side.

"Many regard him as the best defender in the side."

He could get a specialist role as a specialist defensive guard with the Boomers for the 2012 Olympics. I can see guards throughout the world, just shaking in their boots at the thought of being locked down by Australia's version of Michael Cooper.

He has always been about himself last 2 years last and last just wonder how good he will be at blaming someone else for this result. He is the most self promoting peron in the NBL can't believe Gold Coast fell for his sell but so did the Dragons ask them now what they really think. In fact ask around at all the programs he has been at.

Best defender for the blaze? Isn't that a bit like being the skinniest guy at fat camp?

Lol nice one Nate.

Still, if the Blaze were a fat camp, Daniel would be the one smuggling in chocolates while the others exercise.
