The year of the super subs
Noticed that more and more teams are happy to use a super sub to generate offence off the bench when they could just as easily start.
JR Smith has been getting it done for the Nuggets, his top scoring effort yesterday got them the W in Dallas.
Terry is the man off the bench for Dallas, AK for the Jazz. Gordon was doing it early for the bulls, but injury has forced him to start, and Huges has now taken the role.
I love the idea of a high scoring volume shooter off the bench, there is only one ball so why play all your scorers at once and have nothing when they have to sit?
But the role must be one played by special types of players. Not just shooters like Korver or Kapono, they must be able to create their own shots.

It continues to baffle me why Detroit don't use AI in this fashion and start the team with Stuckey playing the PG. I really can't let it go.
