Yeah, why not? Phil Smyth used to do it all the time.

I think the players have a rule that if you watch them, you shout them lunch.

I went, last year, a few times.
Watched Woodville.
Lightning coached by Lucas
And, 36ers coached by Steve Breheney.

You could always go to the Dome for one of the local games and then nearing the end of the night go and hide in the 'Nose Bleed' section. Underneath the seats works better, as no-one will see you.

Then at 10:00am, the next day when the players commence training all you have to do is pop your head up and watch.

P.S. Make sure you wear something warm, as the Dome gets quite cold at nights....

PPS watch out for the rats, they have a nasty bite on them (the furry ones as well)

However, if you find a hot dog under the stands, eat it!
It will taste the same as the half time ones..

All's cool on the DDFan front. : )

I eventually got the straight answer that I wasn't welcome, & I'm cool with that. It was the BSing that got my back up.

I don't see that any of you guys would be in that position, so I'd encourage you to ring/mail Admin to confirm that the session that you're interested in attending are open (some aren't), rather than barge in & be disappointed. It's a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes & get a first hand insight into the rigours of practice sessions.

On a personal note, very interested in who Camel 31 is. I made a point of doing what I could to make all visitors welcome & can still name most of them (there weren't that many). Maybe you went early in the season on a non-DD Thursday or Friday?

It probably was. I was going there for Woodville.
Lucas was there.
One 36ers training I was the only one there, I'd gone in Woodville door... wasn't sure if I was supposed to be there or not.

I seem to be on the wrong track. I was talking Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 09:00am to noonish. Are you saying the 36ers under Phil, trained outside of those hours? 8 *

DICKO, you might want to check your source. I did catch up with "your person" a coupla times at last season's practices.

How about getting your source to log in anonymously to wet our lips about our new coach's practice sessions. That should be enlightening. : )
