national schools tournament

Its worth a mention that Unley girls have made into tomorrow's grand final against Xaviers in the Championship division.

They have been undefeated so far with the closest game being the semi which they won by ten points.

check out Dave Humphries from Trinity, just scored 55 pts tonight and has averaged 32 in Div 1.

no wonder Scott Whitmore has had him play every Div 1 mens game this silly season for the Lions.

Should be an interesting final with two teams which match up pretty closely. Neither has a genuine big and both move the ball and shoot the ball exceptionally well.

Unley definitely drew the weaker pool but were impressive in winning their pool. They couldn't put Launceston away yesterday even though they looked like they were always going to and the 10-pt margin was very flattering - Launceston hit the front with only 2 minutes left and had the refs given an ounce of protection to Tayla Roberts inside then the score may well have been different.

Personally I'm going for an Albury win but that's from a guy who has worked with a lot of their group.

Good luck to all teams today.

No i think Dave has been playing fantastic and shutting down any player he is on. Well done to the boys considering half the team are in year 10. It will be good to see how they go next year.
