Screen was awarded MVP in both games over the weekend. She did play well but where is the recognition for the defensive display from Summerton? In my opinion Summerton was More Valuable.

I have to agree - Summerton took the students to school against the AIS, her eight offensive boards was a wonderful pairing to her 30 points. How this one got away was a mystery, but I think she will be rewarded on the WNBL stage, against the other league leaders - not to mention internationally. I read there was a WNBA scout out her to see her - that speaks volumes. They are both at the top of their game this season, no doubt. But Summerton is really turning heads, and playing some breakthrough ball. Good luck to the women in the finals, I think its time they told the eastern states to shut up and sit down.

I think you will find that Screen got them because on Sunday of her near triple double (whcih she wold have got had Chris Lucas not been concerned about enxt week and benched her early)..and Screen was the spark that allowed the Lightning to beat Dandenong.
Summerton was a very, very close consideration for both games.
