Former NBAer Rodney Rodgers paralysed

As per article below :

http://linky.com.au/9palx

Paralysed from the shoulders down, with possible chance of recovery.

Was one of those explosive, enthusiastic 6th man types from bballs golden era of the early 90s - still remember those three threes in 30secs vs Utah ...

30 seconds, wasn't it more like 9 secs? Southpaw too from memory.

Down 8 I think, and suddenly up 1 in less than 10 seconds.

Three great memories of 90's NBA, that sequence of play, the Laphonso Ellis blocked shot (mentioned recently on here) and the Isaiah Rider out-of-bounds save one hand under the arm for a trey.

Was that the one arm flick around his back from the baseline? I thought that was Todd Day from the Bucks or did Rider do something similar?

Rider did it from mid court leaping out of bounds..

Pure arse, but awesome to watch.

Number 1 play of the year in the 90's. Probably on You Tube.

Wow - he was loaded, and still worked like an average Joe. You don`t get that much these days from retired sports stars.

Hope it`s not as bad as it seems to sound.

Terrible news about Rogers.

Those 11 seconds were awesome, from memory and talking to Kevin Brooks he's on the court as those threes are launched.

First two were nice easy set shots, third was a bloody great shot under pressure.

Geez Todd Day actually looks like he meant it. Sweet!

I think the Nuggets went on to lose that game in the dying seconds, did they not?

Loved RR's game - bit of a rich man's Pero Cameron in a way.
