NBA ejection rules too harsh?

Man, alot of players have being ejected of late, especially at key times. So it made me wonder are the ejection rules too harsh. I mean Bogut was ejected yesterday when the Bucks were 1 point down going late into the 4th.
Barnes was ejected the other day as well, and his Suns ended up loosing to the Rockets. Alston was also ejected in that game.
Shaq was ejected from todays game as well after a flagrant foul. All these ejections in the space of a few days. Some were very costly too e.g Boguts ejection

Bogut was ejected for his second technical, though. Both were (apparently) a bit dubious, but after the second, obviously he had to go. The incident with KG was not deemed an 'ejection worthy' event just by itself.

Isn't it weird that the NBA doesn't want any altercations to occur at all, yet these generate so much interest in the sport? You see them pop up on the news, youtube, etc.
